Legislation aimed at improving safety at football stadiums is to be extended on Wednesday.
Speaking to his cabinet of ministers during a meeting President Nikos Christodoulides announced that the 2008 legislation is to be amended to extend powers to the police, giving the authority the right to ban movement of fans.
Until now the decision had been the sole prerogative of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It will henceforth apply
