A car abandoned in a remote area of Pyrgos, Limassol, was totally destroyed on Thursday, shortly after midnight, according to the police.
The fire was reported to have started 40 minutes after midnight.
The police located the owner, who told the authorities the car had broken down and had recently been sold to someone else.
The authorities are now trying to identify the new owner.
